When is the Minecraft 1.21 Update coming out?

There is a lot of anticipation for the new Minecraft 1.21 update which will introduce exciting challenges for players. From a brand new dungeon, to an automatic crafter, Minecraft FIRST-EVER brand new weapon, and an absolute slew of new decorating blocks, players are in for a treat come this June.

When is the Minecraft 1.21 release date?

UPDATE: The Minecraft 1.21 update is officially set to release on June 13, 2024 as announced in the most recent Minecraft Monthly.

Make sure to check our social media in the coming days because we'll be celebrating the Minecraft 1.21 update (spoiler: we'll be doing some giveaways and a massive sale 👀).

The last few major Minecraft updates dropped in June, except Minecraft 1.18 which probably happened later in the year due to how massive it was. With the few items entering Minecraft this time around we can most definitely be sure players will be seeing the update around its regularly scheduled release date.

Minecraft 1.17 - June 8, 2021

While no actual release date has been announced for Minecraft 1.21, also known as the Tricky Trials update, it's been planned to release in Summer 2024, and based on previous patterns it will likely be sometime in mid-June at a minimum.

This will be a heavily combat-focused update with plenty of verticality, so be sure to practice your Minecraft bucket-clutches and attack-criticals as both of these will be critical for surviving the new combat trials. The brand new Hammer weapon is essentially a mixture of these two mechanics to be sure to have both of them down for the update to bring your A-game into a wholly new generation of Minecraft PVP!
