Skyrim has been out since 2011 but even veteran players are still finding new things every day. With the massive open world that Skyrim offers, it’s definitely hard to explore everything and find all the secret Skyrim spots out there. With the mod Skyrim Together Reborn, you can hop on a dedicated Skyrim Together server with your friends and you can explore the world together.
Our guide is going to make it easier for you and your friends to find some secret Skyrim locations that are worth at least one visit during your playthrough.
Pilgrim’s Trench
Embark on an exciting and unique adventure in the icy plains northwest of Winterhold. Here, you'll find the remains of four shipwrecks, each containing valuable loot. Pilgrim's Trench may not offer the most in terms of treasures, but the challenge of scuba diving to explore the area more than makes up for it.
The eerie atmosphere and low visibility underwater create an intriguing ambiance. Challenge your friends to see who can hold their breath the longest as you dive deep into the trench. Explore the area and discover the unique underwater views that it has to offer, an experience that is truly one of a kind.
Kagrenzel
As you travel through Skyrim, you'll come across many Dwemer ruins, such as Mzulft or Blackreach. But for a unique and lesser-known experience, check out Kagrenzel, located north of Riften and southeast of Mzulft.
Inside, you'll find a floating light in the center of the room, surrounded by the remains of two unlucky adventurers. Interacting with it will trigger a trap and send you and your companions on a thrilling, long fall.
If you survive, you'll have the opportunity to explore a cave system filled with Falmer. Share the adventure with friends, adding to the excitement and making it a fun, memorable experience. Even if one of your friends doesn't survive the fall, it'll be a good laugh.
Arcwind Point
Are you and your friends up for a challenge? Look no further than Arcwind Point, located west of the Rift among the mountains. Once you reach it, be prepared to face some formidable foes, including a Draugr Deathlord or a Dragon Priest. The thrill of the fight alone will make the journey worth it, but the reward is even greater with the discovery of the Drain Vitality word wall in this area.
And for even more of a challenge, players with the Dawnguard expansion pack will have the added excitement of facing a dragon spawn at the location. Test your skills and see if you and your friends have what it takes to survive the undead and a dragon simultaneously at Arcwind Point.
Liar's Retreat
Discover the thrilling tale and treasures of Liar's Retreat, a cave located northeast of Karthwasten. As you enter, you'll be greeted by a gruesome scene of a battle between Falmer and bandits. But this is only the beginning of the story. The cave serves as a bandit hideout that is currently being raided by the Falmer.
Delve deeper into the cave, facing off against Falmer, spiders, and chaurus, as you uncover the secrets of Liar's Retreat. Along the way, you'll have the chance to loot various valuable items, including the unique Longhammer, a powerful weapon that allows for faster attacks than a regular warhammer. Don't miss out on this exciting adventure!
Southfringe Sanctum
Explore the mystical Southfringe Sanctum, a hidden cave located near Helgen. Inside, you'll encounter a number of Spellswords, including the powerful warlord Bashnag, and other dangerous creatures. But the cave is not just home to danger, it also boasts breathtaking natural beauty, with frosty trees and other enchanting sights. And don't miss the valuable items and key quest items that can be found within.
You’ll also find Selveni Nethri trapped in some webs by Bashnag. You can free her from her silky prison and escort her out of the cave. Gather your friends and embark on an unforgettable journey to the Southfringe Sanctum.
