Ark Survival Evolved is a multiplayer survival game set in a chaotic world full of both dinosaurs and modern technology. The the usage of violence and drugs, players can tame almost every dinosaur they encounter to be used as allies and mounts across the map. Similar to Rust though, keep an eye out for other players, as they will always be your greatest threat.
With Ark 2 right around the corner, recent updates to Ark are keeping the community closely knit to the game, eager for more news about the next installment. This update is no regular change though, adding a dino-load of Halloween themed items and engagements to the current game. Run from ghost-dinosaurs roaming the map or slay them yourself for the permanent skin!
Ark Survival Evolved Halloween Event
Ark over the course of 6 years has released routine Halloween events entitled Ark Fear Evolved sporting incredible new skins and cosmetics for players to obtain. This year is the 6th installment in their Halloween updates, promptly being named Ark Fear Evolved 6.
This year is sporting two new dodo-themed bosses being the:
- Dodorex, with obtainable Dodo-Zombie minions
- Dodowyvern, with obtainable Zombie-Wyvern minions
You can also find throughout the wild skeletal and ghost versions of many other creatures. In order to obtain these creatures as your own, you'll have to slay them personally wherein they will drop their respective skin and Halloween materials.
Ark Fear Evolved Skeletal, Ghost, and Chibi Creatures
In addition to new tamable Zombie-creatures, there is also a wide variety of other skins introduced in this update. There are now ghosts and skeleton alternatives to usual creatures roaming the land upon successfully being slain by a player they will drop their respective skin. Chibi-creatures are unlike this though as they are randomly dropped skins by either of the previously mentioned bosses.

- Ghost Surface Reapers
- Ghost Bulbdog
- Ghost Rex
- Ghost Basilisk
- Ghost Snow Owl
- Ghost Mantis
- Ghost Direwolf
The skeletal alternatives include:
- Skeletal Giganotosaurus
- Skeletal Quetzal
- Skeletal Jerboa
- Skeletal Bronto
- Skeletal Stego
- Skeletal Trike
- Skeletal Raptor
- Skeletal Rex
- Skeletal Carnotauru
How to craft Halloween items in Ark Fear Evolved
Many items in Ark's Halloween updates required limited-time drops and materials. Until the end of the event players can find headstones, pumpkin patches, and scarecrows regularly scattered across the maps. Loot these containers for their respective items and combine them with Dinosaur bones to create skins for your Ark character.
How do you get Dinosaur Bones? The answer may seem obvious, but you'll have to kill skeletal versions of dinosaurs across the map! Each of these will drop a medium amount of Dinosaur bones meaning you will only have to find a few of them before you are able to craft to your heart's desire.
Ark Fear Evolved End Date
Ark Fear Evolved is running until November 2cd states the developers, and players will be able to keep any and all of the skins they acquired during the event afterward. Due to this, starting a dedicated server and getting your hands on these skins is a limited time event!
On your own server as well you are unable to tame either of the bosses, but spawning in the Dodorex will do work on structures and other Dinosaurs. All of skins for your player characters can be crafted with Halloween materials at the cooking pot, whether that be on your own personal server or a developer one.
