The Valentine’s season is a great time to do something special with your loved ones to show them how much you love them. Sometimes, dates can be expensive or difficult to plan, especially for those in long-distance relationships. Thankfully, you can take advantage of the endless date ideas you can do in Minecraft. To make it easier, we compiled a list of things you can do in a dedicated Minecraft server with the ones you love.
Single? Don’t worry, you can also do these with your friends so you don’t have to spend the Valentine’s season alone. Who knows, you might find your next Valentine’s Day date while hanging out with your friends.
Minecraft Valentines Builds
With hundreds of decorative blocks, you can use your creativity to build any kind of house you want in Minecraft. Whether it’s a jungle treehouse, an underwater base, or a modern house, you can spend quality time together with your partner or friends collecting resources and designing your dream home in the game.
If you would rather not spend time collecting resources, you can just turn creative mode on. This will give you access to all the blocks available and just get to the building part. If you feel like you want more blocks, you can install a modpack for a wider variety of items.
Bonus Minecraft Valentines Ideas: You can set up a beautiful house with candles and surprise your partner with a virtual date night inside the home you’ve built for the two of you! Or maybe create a massive Minecraft Valentines card in the sky for them!
Traverse the Nether
The Nether is a dangerous place, but it’s also home to some of the most unique sights in Minecraft. From the deadly Bastion remnants to the beautiful Warped forests, there’s a lot to discover in this dimension. It’s a great place to explore with your loved ones as you’ll have to work with them to protect each other. You can also grab a saddle and put it on a Strider and safely travel through the lava while you sit back and relax while sightseeing.
Beat the Ender Dragon
Get the complete Minecraft Valentines experience by working with your partner or your friends (don’t worry single gamers, we got you) to defeat the main boss of Minecraft: the Ender Dragon. You’ll experience it all during this adventure. Collect armor and food in the Overworld. Hunt down Blazes in the Nether. Get to the End dimension through a Stronghold. Once there, you have to work together to take down the End crystals that protect the dragon, survive the hordes of Enderman (tip: just don’t look at them), and finally take the Dragon down with your arrows and swords.
After slaying the dragon, you can collect the experience and the precious Dragon Egg. You can then display it in your base to show the world that you’ve defeated one of Minecraft’s greatest beasts.
Hunt down an Elytra
This is probably the ultimate test of patience for Minecraft players. Carefully bridging across the void where you can lose all your stuff or accurately throwing your ender pearls to get to the different islands is definitely a challenge that will be worth it in the End (haha, get it? the End?). Not for the faint of heart, but for the more adventurous couples out there, this is something you should do. Just don’t yell at us if you lose your full set of enchanted Netherite armor.
Once you’ve collected a couple of Elytras, you can go back to the Overworld and collect some Firework Rockets. You can then spend the day flying around and witnessing all the different biomes Minecraft has to offer with the ones you love.
Explore an Ancient City
From one of Minecraft’s newest updates, Ancient Cities were introduced in 1.19 where you can find tons of valuable loot… as long as you’re quiet and don’t accidentally bring forth a Warden. Dig around the caves found under y-level zero until you find some Sculk. Once you’ve located these dark green blocks, start sneaking around and holding hands with your loved ones to find the Ancient City’s chests.
The most important thing is that you remain quiet. Producing noise can trigger Sculk Sensors and Sculk Shriekers which will call a Warden to hunt you down. If that happens, work together with your partner or friends to take turns distracting the Warden and collecting the loot so you can all escape with your lives and the treasures.
